Rain or shine, basketball enthusiasts can have endless fun at the new sheltered court, which will ensure uninterrupted play all year round. Children will be delighted by two themed playgrounds designed for different age groups: Preschoolers can explore a nautical-themed play zone inspired by the area’s historic ties to rivers and harbours, while older children aged six and twelve can embark on thrilling adventures at the Océane-themed playground, complete with a tower and spiral slides.

For adults and seniors, a thoughtfully designed fitness area will provide the perfect space to stay healthy and active. Whether you’re looking for a quick stretch or to build strength, these user-friendly facilities offer something for everyone – right in the heart of the neighbourhood.

Residents share their excitement

The upcoming facility has already started enthusiasm among residents. Swetha Muttumula, 29, a fitness enthusiast who cycles and works out three times a week, is thrilled about this upcoming project. “There aren’t many options for fitness around here, so this is a fantastic addition. It’ll help me stay fit and healthy without having to venture far,” she said.

She’s also looking forward to the new playground for her three-and-a-half-year-old daughter. “The current playground is too small. With more play features, my daughter can spend more time outdoors instead of too much time on digital devices,” she shared.

Alista Goh, 38, who moved into the neighbourhood just a year ago, echoed similar sentiments.

“It’s great that everything will be under one roof. I can bring my kids, aged seven and nine, to the new playground that’s designed for older children,” she said.

She also noted the convenience for families. “Adults and seniors can work out at the new fitness station while their children and grandchildren enjoy the playground. It’s perfect for everyone.”
 

For 14-year-old basketball enthusiast Lynn Eddlynn, the new indoor basketball court is a game changer. “It’s great that we can play regardless of the weather. It can get very hot when we play outdoors and we always have to worry about rain,” she said.

She also pointed out that the smoother floor surface at the indoor court will reduce the risk of falls, a common issue at outdoor courts. “The new sports facility will also help bring people together. It’ll encourage residents to step out of their homes, explore the neighbourhood, make new friends, and stay active,” she added.
